The George Wright Forum, Vol 24 No. 2

To fully meet the NPS commitment to science-based management, the Intermountain Region organized and hosted two workshops focused on improving the integration of research and monitoring information with natural resource management in parks. The first workshop, “Integrating Monitoring Results into Park Natural Resource Management,” was held on December 6-8, 2005 in Rio Rico, AZ. The Chico workshop, held September 26-28 at Chico Hot Springs, MT, broadened the audience to include additional stakeholders and built upon the ideas generated at Rio Rico. The ideas generated from these workshops were presented at the 2007 meeting of the George Wright Society and synthesized in this issue of the George Wright Forum:
