Historic data from Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area, Grand Teton National Park and Yellowstone National Park were compiled from existing sources to evaluate and aid the Greater Yellowstone Network in developing a long-term monitoring program for its aquatic ecosystems. This report includes 1) an assessment of the GRYN river macroinvertebrate data; 2) an analysis of the various approaches that could be used to develop an aquatic bioassessment program in the GRYN; and 3) a detailed proposal outlining how the GRYN could implement a bioassessment program.
