Historic Structures

Although Yellowstone and Grand Teton national parks and Bighorn Canyon National Recreation Area are best known for their natural features, they also contain buildings and other structures that are valued because of their association with the history of the park or of the area before it became a park. They include National Historic Landmarks and other sites on the National Register of Historic Places. Maintaining these structures in good condition and making appropriate use of them where possible is an important part of cultural resource management for these park units.
