Bighorn Canyon NRA Stabilization, Repair, and Restoration of Historic Structures

As of 2008, 14 of the Bighorn Canyon NRA's 41 historic structures were considered to be in “good” condition on the National Park Service List of Classified Structures because of preservation efforts. Stabilization, repair, and restoration of ranch structures began in the early 1990s and is ongoing. Cultural landscape restoration, including revegetation, reestablishment of historic orchards, and building repair has been conducted on all four of the park’s historic ranches.
