Wild Horses Population Census

A population census is conducted year-round on the ground by BLM employees, student interns, and public volunteers. Horses are tracked annually and can be individually recognized by facial and leg markings, coat color, scars, and group associations. The Pryor Mountain Wild Mustang Center frequently monitors the population
