Bison Monitoring and Surveillance

Project Type:  Monitoring
Project Status:  Ongoing

A more thorough understanding of bison population dynamics will help reduce some of the uncertainties of how brucellosis affects the population. Equipping a random sample of bison cows with radio collars enables park staff to acquire more information about their movements, pregnancy rates, and calving outcomes.
