Project Type: Monitoring
Project Status: Ongoing
Project Status: Ongoing
Seasonal movements and distribution of several bighorn sheep population segments of the Clarks Fork Bighorn Sheep Herd Unit were studied by the Wyoming Game and Fish Department from December 2004 to July 2007. A total of 19 sheep (11 rams, 8 ewes) were captured and radio-collared during the course of the study. Connectivity via ram movements was documented among the four population segments that were monitored (Clarks Fork Canyon, Rock Creek, Pilot Peak, and Yellowstone National Park). Connectivity via movements of ewes was documented between the Rock Creek and Pilot Peak population segments.
