Occurrence of Mycobacteria in Different Environments

Mycobacteria are free-living saprophytes that can live in extreme environments. In order to study the occurrence and diversity of Mycobacteria in different environments, samples of water, soil, feces and small pieces of vegetation will be collected and cultivated for Mycobacteria. Isolated Mycobacteria will be identified and strains differentiated.
