GYA Science Agenda Workshop -- Background Resources
The Planning Committee for the GYA Science Agenda workshop would like to provide the following materials to provide background support for workshop panelists and observers. These materials are existing related resources that were not explicitly created for the workshop, but still may provide some good background prior to the meeting.
An annotated bibliography of papers relevant to GYA science produced by the Big Sky Institute.
Climate Change
- A table from Steve Gray at the University of Wyoming showing the type of climate change we expect to see over the next decades. This table is not tuned to the GYA specifically, but should provide a basic understanding of characteristics of change we expect to see; 3 pages
- Climate Resource Brief (Greater Yellowstone Inventory and Monitoring Network [GRYN]); 2 pages. GYSLC climate page.
Invasive Species
- Invasive Plants Resource Brief (YELL); 1 page. GYSLC invasive plants page.
- Wildlife Diseases Resource Brief (YELL); 1 page. GYSLC wildlife diseases page.
- Aquatic Nuisance Resource Brief (YELL); 1 page. GYSLC aquatic nuisance species page.
Land Use Change
- Three papers on land use change from plenary speaker Dr. Andrew Hansen (abstracts are included and may provide desired background):
